PURPOSE:To prevent attachment of a toner to nonimage parts by forming a photosensitive layer on the surface of a conductive substrate provided with spaces on both sides and coating the surface of the photosensitive layer with an insulating film having a color separation filter. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer 2 is formed on the conductive substrate 1, and on this layer 2, the insulating layer 3 having a number of necessary color separation filters, such as red (R), green (G), and blue (B) filters, are laminated. The insulating layer 3 is composed of the filter layer 3a and a transparent insulating layer 3b. The conductive substrate 1 is, preferably, a cylindrical metallic drum, and the photosensitive layer 2 constituting the image forming part S is formed on the central part of the surface of the cylindrical metallic drum having few cm wide spaces on the surfaces of both sides of the drum. The surface of the photosensitive layer 2 is covered with the insulating layer 3 having the color separation filters, thus permitting attachment of the toner to the nonimage parts to be prevented. |
