NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R1 is H, halogen or lower alkyl; R1 is halogen, lower alkyl or lower alkenyl; R3 is heterocyclic amine). EXAMPLE:Tetra(4-chlorophenyl)boron-pyridinium complex. USE:A germicide, disinfectant, preservative and antifungal agent capable of being blended even with plastics without causing precipitating, coloring, etc., even in the coexistence of various metal salts. PREPARATION:A tetraarylboron.sodium expressed by formula II, e.g. tetra(4- chlorophenyl)boron.sodium, etc., is reacted with a heterocyclic amine hydrohalide expressed by the formula R3.HX (X is halogen), e.g. pyridine hydrochloride, etc., to afford the aimed compound expressed by formula I.
