<p>PURPOSE:To form a black water-based ink composition for ink jet recording which has excellent ejection characteristics in particular, does not cause clogging, and gives a picture having good water and light resistance, by using a specified water-soluble dye. CONSTITUTION:A water-based ink composition containing at least one of water- soluble dyes of the formula, wherein Ar1 and Ar2 are each an unsubstituted or substituted phenyl gorup, or the like naphthyl group; R1 and R2 are each H, alkyl, alkoxy, halogen or a sulfo group; M is a cation of, e.g., H, sodium, potassium, lithium or an organic amine. The content of the above-mentioned dye is about 0.5-20pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. ink.</p> |
