PURPOSE:To obtain a particulate non-rigid PVC blend which gives moldings which do not form fish eyes, by allowing a liquid plasticizer to be absorbed by PVC and then mixing calcium carbonate. CONSTITUTION:In the production of a particulate non-rigid PVC blend of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), a liquid plasticizer, a thermal stabilizer, calcium carbonate and other additives wherein most of the liquid plasticizer is absorbed by PVC and retained therein, the liquid plasticizer is allowed to be absorbed by PVC and then calcium carbonate is mixed with them. As the PVC, a suspension- polymerized one having an average degree of polymn. of 1,000-3,000, a particle size of 100-200mu and voids capable of absorbing the liquid plasticizer is used. 5-70phr liquid plasticizer, 0.1-10phr thermal stabilizer and 2-50phr calcium carbonate are used, each amount being based on that of PVC. Examples of PVC are vinyl chloride homopolymer and copolymers of vinyl chloride with vinyl acetate, etc.
