PURPOSE:To obtain a device having good responsiveness and high accuracy by selecting a weight coefficient on the basis of the quantity of variation in steering angle in a section wherein a run is made by a specific distance and setting a steering neutral angle on the basis of the weight coefficients and the steering angle means values. CONSTITUTION:Run distance measured by a run distance measuring means is compared with specific preset run distance by a run distance decision means. Then when it is decided that the run distance is longer than the specific run distance, the mean value of a steering angle value detected by a steering angle detecting means is computed by a steering angle mean value arithmetic means, the quantity of variation based on the steering angle value detected by the steering angle detecting means is computed by a steering angle variation quantity arithmetic means, and a weight coefficient selecting means selects a weight coefficient on the basis of the quantity of variation in steering angle. Thus, the steering neutral angle setting means sets the steering neutral angle on the basis of the steering angle mean values and weight coefficients.
