<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the ascension and overflow of a seed fungus body by injecting an aq. soln. having a high content of org. matter in the form of a pulse along with an aq. soln. having a low content of org. matter when an upward current slurry blanket-type methane fermenter is initially started. CONSTITUTION:When an org. aq. soln. is supplied to the upward current slurry blanket-type methane fermenter 1 to recover gaseous methane by methane fermentation, a fungus body other than a self-granulated fungus body aggregate deposited in the fermenter 1 is used as the seed fungus body when the fermenter 1 is initially started. The aq. soln. having a high content of org. matter is injected in the form of a pulse by a pump 5 from a storage tank 6 of the aq. soln. along with the aq. soln. having a low content of org. matter supplied from a feed pipe 2. Consequently, the ascension of the seed fungus body existing site 7 is prevented, and the overflow of the seed fungus body can be prevented.</p> |
