PURPOSE:To obtain a resin compsn. which gives moldings having excellent gas barrier properties, transparency and mechanical characteristics, by blending a polyamide with a saponified modified EVA obtd. by grafting a specified amount of an unsaturated carboxylic acid. CONSTITUTION:A resin compsn. is obtd. by blending a polyamide with the following saponified modified ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA). Said saponified modified EVA is a copolymer obtd. by grafting 0.01-10pts.wt. unsaturated carboxylic acid or derivative onto 100pts.wt. saponified EVA. The saponified modified EVA is used in an amount of 1-200pts.wt., pref. 5-100pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. polyamide. When the amount of the saponified modified EVA is small, gas barrier properties are poor, while when the amount is large, mechanical strength is low. If desired, an antioxidant, an ultraviolet light absorber, an antistatic agent, a transparent pigment, etc., may be added.
