PURPOSE:To make it possible to mold a cosmetic having a design of a striped pattern which can not be made by a well-known method, by solidifying cosmetics of plural colors in a mold, putting the cosmetics in a dish, packing and molding the cosmetics of plural colors in the dish with no partition plate in a desired width and in uniform hardness. CONSTITUTION:A mold consisting of a female mold 2 comprising a molding chamber 5 having an open top and dish engaging holes 7 formed in side walls 3C and 3D facing the molding chamber 5, covers 8 detachably inserted into the dish fitting holes 7 and a male mold 9 to be inserted from the open top of the female mold 2 into the molding chamber 5 is used and the dish fitting molds 7 are closed with the covers 8. Cosmetics A-D of plural colors are packed into the molding chamber 5, compressed and solidified in a laminar state. Then, the covers 8 are removed from the female mold, a dish 10 is inserted from the dish fitting holes 7 into the molding chamber, the solidified cosmetics A-D are put in the dish 10 and the surface of the cosmetics A-D are finished to give the titled cosmetic. In this method, the cosmetic having a design of a striped pattern can be obtained in desired width and uniform hardness and diversification of a commodity can be contrived.
