PURPOSE:To make it possible to realize the vulcanization forming having uniform thickness and consequently enhance the usable ratio of the width of a product to the vulcanized width of a molded item by a structure wherein an upper and a lower flange members, which can contact with and part from the upper and lower ends of an unvulcanized molded item, shifting means to shift the upper and the lower flange members and a shift prohibiting means to prohibit the actuations of the shifting means are provided. CONSTITUTION:Even when the vertical position of an unvulcanized molded item 5 on the outer periphery of a molding mantle 4 fluctuates within the range of S1-S2, the upper and lower ends of the unvulcanized molded item 5 can be pressed at proper pressure, because an upper flange member 8 is shifted downwards by means of upper cylinders 12 and 12 and a lower flange member 9 is shifted upwards by means of lower cylinders 13 and 13 in response to the fluctuation of the position of the molded item. When the vertical positions of the upper and the lower flange members 8 and 9 are fixed and consequently the unvulcanized molded item 5 is put into the fixed state, hydraulic pressure system is changed over so as to prohibit the influx and efflux of working fluid to and from the upper and the lower cylinders 12 and 12 and 13 and 13 in order to press the upper and the lower ends of the unvulcanized molded item 5 at proper pressure with no gaps between the upper and the lower flange members 8 and 9 and the molded item and to vulcanize at uniformly pressurized state of the molded item, so that even the ends of the molded item can become usable as the part of a product. |
