PURPOSE:To execute freely by one hand a rotational instruction of a symbol mark instructed by a light pen, by providing a rotation input means for inputting a rotation quantity of a graphic image which has been displayed on a display means. CONSTITUTION:For instance, when a symbol mark which has been displayed on a display means 1 is picked by operating a light pen 2 by one hand, a position of its symbol mark is detected by an image position detecting part 3, and its position signal is sent out to an image forming part 4. In this state, when a rotation input means 2a of the light pen 2 is rotated counterclockwise, it is operated so as to lower a resistance value of a variable resistor. Also, in accordance with its rotation quantity, a necessary output potential is outputted to an A/D converter, a digital signal is sent out to an image rotation quantity recognizing part 5, and when it is recognized to be a 90 deg. rotation (counterclockwise), the symbol mark which has been detected by the image position detecting part 3 is brought to a rotation (counterclockwise) of 90 deg. and an image forming part 4 is displayed on the display means 1.
