PURPOSE:To permit the reduction of flux density of a yoke by a commutating pole, by making up a main pole, a commutating pole and an armature core into two (2)-block construction each in the axial direction and by arranging the one block with a deviation by one pole each in the circumferential direction from the other block. CONSTITUTION:A main pole 17 wound with a main pole coil 12 around the main pole core 13 and an armature core 18 are formed into two (2) block construction each in the axial direction. The one main pole 17 and the armature core 18 are provided with a deviation by one pole each in the circumferential direction from the other main pole 17 and armature core 18. A commutating pole 20 wound with a commutating pole coil 14 around a commutating pole core 15 is formed into two (2)-block construction in the axial direction. The commutating coil 14 is wound so that the one commutating pole 20 may become a counter-pole of the other commutating pole 20 mutually with a deviation by one pole each in the circumferential direction for the poles 20 of the same pole. By this composition, only a flux of the main pole 17 flows in a yoke 11. As this flux, too, flows in separation in two (2) directions, circumferential and axial, the flux density is reduced on a large scale.
