<p>Slag from fused steel-manfg. is dropped in water and pulverized with air flow and mixed with blast-furance water-granulated slag and an activator consisting of cement and/or cement clinker. Reforming material(S)(>=1) selected from granite, sandstone, slate, brick scrap, coal ash, glass scrap, desiliconized slage, iron ore, shale, and red mud may also be added. The treated slags are useful as binders, like ordinary and blastfurnance cements, for briquets and pellets.</p> |
