<p>PURPOSE:To prohibit the reproduction of a bit of specific information, by providing an information reproduction prohibition instructing means separably from a reproducing device main body, and providing a reproducing operation control means at a reproducing device main body side. CONSTITUTION:When a stop key on a remote control device 2 is depressed, a main controller 10 in a reproducing device main body 1 discriminates a stop instruction, and also, when the stop key is depressed for a prescribed time, for example, 4sec, it discriminates a reproduction prohibition instruction, and stores a reproduction prohibiting mode on a non-volatile memory 14. Next, by depressing a play key on the device 2, the device 1 discriminates the content of the memory 14, and in the reproduction prohibiting mode, a prescribed character is displayed on a display unit 15, then no reproducing operation being performed. When the play key is depressed, for example, for more than 4sec, the setting of the reproduction prohibiting mode is cancelled, and a reproduction permitting mode is set on the memory 14, then the reproducing operation being performed.</p> |
