PURPOSE:To form a stable cyan color picture image by forming at least one kind of color sensitive layers among plural color sensitive layers on a base to >=2 layers, arranging color sensitive layers having high sensitivity among them to a position nearer the base, and incorporating cyan coupler to either one of the color sensitive layers. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide color photographic sensitive material comprises >=two kinds of silver halide (AgX) emulsion layer having different color sensitivity, on a base, wherein at least one kind of the emulsion layer is formed of >=two kinds of AgX emulsion layer having different sensitivity. The AgX emulsion layers are arranged in such a manner that at least one layer nearer the base is made more sensitive than the layer further from the base, and a cyan dye forming coupler expressed by the formula is incorporated into either at least one layer of the color sensitive emulsion layer. In the formula, R is an (un)substituted alkyl, aryl, or heterocyclic group; Ar is an (un)substituted aryl; X is H or group eliminable during coupling reaction with an oxidation produce of color development. By this constitution, cyan color development being stable to fluctuation of developing treatment is attained, and an AgX color sensitive material resulting no defect due to recoloring, having superior sharpness and graininess is obtd. |
