PURPOSE:To ensure the notice of fault by connecting a supervisory terminal equipment to a desired center equipment in each center equipment in a communication network, providing a sending means of a test data, a reception means and a deciding means to the supervisory terminal equipment so as to send a prescribed test data addressed to other center equipment to be tested. CONSTITUTION:A transmission/reception control means 11b generates test data based on a supervisory control data set in advance in a RAM13 and allows a transmission circuit 17 to send the data to the center equipments C2-C4 periodically. Then the test data returned from the destination center equipments C2-C4 are received by a reception circuit 18. Moreover, a deciding means 11c uses the transmission/reception control means 11b to supervise whether or not the test data is returned within a prescribed period after the test data are sent, judges it as a fault if no data is returned, allows a fault notice control means 11d to raise an alarm. Thus, even if a bug exists in a program of a main control section of the center equipment C1, the operation fault is detected surely and the alarm is raised.
