PURPOSE:To simplify the exchanging work of a magnetic head, by positioning a head block on which the magnetic head is positioned and fixed with a locator pin, and fixing it with a magnet. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head 16 is positioned and fixed exactly to a block 40 observing it with a microscope. The pushing part 41 of the block 40 is abutted with the positioning pin 34 of a placing plane 20, then being positioned, and a turn centering the pin 34 is blocked by fitting a pin 35 in a groove 42. Also the block 40 is energized in a forward direction by bringing together a permanent magnet built in the front plane of the shoulder part of the block 40 with the permanent magnet on the placing plane 20, and also, the block 40 is stuck closely with a reference plane of the placing plane 20 by bringing together a permanent magnet 44 on the bottom plane of the block 40 with a permanent magnet 36. In this way, it is no necessary to perform the positioning of the head 16 after mounting the block 40, then it is possible to simplify the exchanging work of the head 16.
