PURPOSE:To obtain sufficient color developability by processing for a short time an image-exposed silver halide (AgX) color photographic sensitive material with a color developing soln. contg. no benzyl alcohol but contg. a specified compd. CONSTITUTION:After image-exposuring an AgX color photographic sensitive material provided with a photosensitive AgX emulsion layer contg. >=one layer of color coupler on a reflecting base body, the material is developed with color developing soln. contg. no benzyl alcohol but contg. >=one kind of compd. expressed by the formula I [wherein R1 and R2 are H or (un)substituted alkyl; X is H, or hydroxy group; Y is H or a group which can be substituted in a benzene ring] for <=2min 30sec. Further, it is preferred that Magenta coupler expressed by the formula II is used [wherein Rb is H or a substituent; Y1 is a group or atom capable of being eliminated by the coupling with an oxidized body of an arom. primary amine type developing agent; Za, Zb, and Zc are (un)substituted methine, =N-, -NH-, Za-Zb, Zb-Zc wherein one is bonded with a double bond and another is bonded with a single bond]. By this constitution, sufficient color development is obtd. |
