PURPOSE:To improve the operability after the replacement of a disk pack by storing a set reproduction mode, and reproducing a picture from video signals before the replacement of the disk pack. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic disk 11 is loaded on the spindle of a disk motor 21, and the second control device 50 (CPU memory) controls the first control device (CPU memory) 40 according to the state of a switch read by a key scan routine. A processing routine executed by the device 40 includes the setting of the reproduction mode at the time of replacing the magnetic disk pack loaded by the loading mechanism of a video signal reproduction device 10. In this case, the reproduction mode before the replacement is stored in the memory of the device 40, by which the reproduction is executed after the replacement.
