PURPOSE:To contrive not only to stabilize quality but also to enhance productivity within a short time, by performing heating and pressurization in such a state that a film being a surface layer is covered with an elastomer before removing the elastomer. CONSTITUTION:A roller 1 having a multilayered structure has such a structure that an elastic layer 3 and a skin layer 4 are successively provided on a core metal 2. Herein, the periphery of a fluorocarbon resin film being the skin layer 4 is covered with an elastomer 5 in order to closely adhere the film to the elastic layer 3 and the whole is pressurized under heating by a press molding machine to remove the elastomer 5. Because the elastomer 5 on the skin layer 4 and the elastic layer 3 thereunder respectively expand during pressurization under heating, uniform pressure is applied to the boundary of the skin layer 4 and, because the elastic layer 3 or the elastomer 5 is interposed, the transfer of heat to the film can be uniformly performed and quality becomes stable and productivity can be enhanced to a large extent and this method can be used in the manufacturing of rolls having various shapes.
