PURPOSE:To easily manufacture a synthetic resin molded item on both sides of which decorating is applied by a method wherein two decorative sheets are located between a movable mold and a stationary mold and, in addition, pinched respectively with pinching plates and further each decorative sheet is sheared off by the outer peripheral edge part of the mold and the inner peripheral edge part of the pinching plate and finally synthetic resin is injected between the decorative sheets. CONSTITUTION:Decorative sheets A and B are respectively inched with pinching plates 4 and 24 and then a movable mold 1 and a stationary mold 21 are clamped together. The decorative sheets A and B are sheared off by the outer peripheral edge parts 5 and 25 of the movable mold 1 and of the stationary mold 21 and the inner peripheral edge parts 6 and 26 of the pinching plates 4 and 24. A cavity 7 is formed by the movable mold 1, the stationary mold 21 and the pinching plates 4 and 24. The decorative sheets A and B are attracted through vacuum vents 11 and 31 so as to be brought into close contact with cavity forming surfaces 2 and 22. Synthetic resin is injected between the decorative sheets A and B so as to decorate both the surfaces of a molded item. The resin is cooled after molding. Then, the molds are opened. After the molded item is removed from the molds, the decorative sheets A and B are fed by the predetermined amount with delivery rolls 9 and 29 and wind-up rolls 10 and 30. |
