PURPOSE:To increase the torque generated on the titled rotary solenoid by a method wherein arc-shaped electrodes, having a sharp-pointed protruded edge at which magnetic flux is subject to focussing, are formed inside the end part of the magnetic path piece located on both sides of a stator yoke, and a rotor is insertingly arranged between said magnetic poles in such a manner that the edge of the salient pole of the rotor and the protruded edge of the magnetic pole are coincided with each other. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 15 has two arc-shaped salient poles 15a and 15a', and these protruded poles 15a and 15a' are formed in such a manner that their protruded parts of the edge are closely opposing to the protruded edges g, h, j and k of magnetic poles 11b and 11b' in the position on a diagonal line leaving a small gap between them. When a current is applied to a coil 13 with the point, where the rotor 15 is shifted by a very small angle theta in clockwise direction or in the opposite side thereof, as the starting position, a greater part of the magnetic flux phi runs as follows: The protruded edge g of the magnetic pole 11b' rotor 15 the protruded edge j of the magnetic pole 11b, and as a result, almost no torque working to rotate the rotor 15 in the reverse direction is generated, thereby enabling the rotor 15 to rotate by having a large torque generated in a clockwise direction.
