SAMPLING METHOD OF BELT-PRESS TYPE SLUDGE DEHYDRATOR

PURPOSE:To draw easily a satisfactory sample with which the moisture content does not vary by constituting a cylinder type sampling implement of a pipe- shaped outside cylinder and a rod, inserting the same into the spacing between stopped belts and sampling sludge. CONSTITUTION:A rod 12 having a top end part 12a longer than a pipe-shaped outside cylinder 11 having both open ends is brought into sliding contact with the inside of said cylinder 11 to constitute a cylinder type sampling implement 10. A sludge dehydrator is first held stopped and the part 12a which is kept projected slightly from the top end of the cylinder 11 is inserted into the sludge Pa between belts 4 and 5. Only the cylinder 11 is then advanced by the strokes S conforming to the amt. of sampling to capture the sludge Pa into the top end thereof. The sampling implement is drawn from between the belts 4 and 5, and the rod 12 is extended to remove the sludge Pa' drawn in the top end of the cylinder 11. The sample Pa' for measuring the rate of dehydration is thus obtd.
