PURPOSE:To display a color sample conforming with the physical sense of a man by setting two chromaticities onto the axis of coordinate, and displaying simultaneously plural pieces of color solids which are obtained by masking its brightness constant and increasing gradually or decreasing gradually two chromaticities, by varying its brightness. CONSTITUTION:In case of displaying a color sample onto the screen of a display device, two chromaticities (B-Y, R-Y) are set onto the axis of coordinate, and plural pieces of color solids which are obtained by making brightness Y constant and increasing gradually or decreasing gradually the chromaticities (B-Y R-Y) are displayed simultaneously by varying the brightness Y, for instance, as Y=60, Y=120, and Y=180. As for the color solid which is displayed on a display device 1, the section cutting a three-dimensional solid into a round slice by a plane being parallel to a plane on which the axes of coordinate R-Y, B-Y are extended is displayed, but it is not outputted by (Y, R-Y, B-Y) but outputted by (R, G, B). Therefore, (R, G, B) is calculated from (Y, R-Y, B-Y) of various values, those (R, G, B) signals are stored as color solids in advance in an image memory, etc. |
