PURPOSE:To facilitate attachment of an adjust dial and to improve work efficiency of assembling by fitting an adjust dial to the end portion of an adjust rod in a piston rod, the outside diameter of the adjust dial being smaller than the outside diameter of the piston rod. CONSTITUTION:A turning member 15 is engaged with the upper end portion of an adjust rod 11 inserted in a hollow piston rod 2, and an adjust dial 17 formed in such a manner as to have a diameter smaller than the outside diameter of the piston rod 2 is fitted to the upper end portion of the turning member 15. As the adjust dial 17 has such a small diameter, a nut 22 with the adjust dial 17 can be inserted. Accordingly, a damping force adjust mechanism can be assembled independently of assembling a spring bearing 20 and a fast bracket 21 so as to improve work efficiency of assembling. |
