PURPOSE:To provide a laser diode device which can select and emit a proper light among a plurality of light waves having different wavelengths and can select only a required optical signal for measurement of light while reducing the size and weight of the laser diode device and lowering the cost and optical loss thereof, by providing specific switching means, means for selecting light to be emitted and means for controlling an angle of diffraction. CONSTITUTION:A laser diode device according to the present invention comprises a plurality of laser diodes (LD) 2a and 2b emitting lights having wavelengths different from each other; a port 5 through which the emitted light goes out of a device body 1 and through which reflected light enters the device body 1; a switching means 11 outputting a control signal S1 while light is being emitted and outputting a control signal S2 while light is being received; and a selecting means 12 selecting one or more light waves from the LD's 2a and 2b upon receipt of the control signal S1. The laser diode device further comprises an acoustooptic element 6 for diffractively deflecting incident light from the port 5 by supersonic waves; a port 10 for detecting optical signals provided on the direction in which the light is diffracted; and a diffraction angle controlling means 7 for selectively diffracting one or more light waves among a plurality of incident light waves from the port 5 so as to emit it through the port 10 by driving the acoustooptic element 6 with a driving signal S3 having a frequency corresponding to the control signal S2. |
