PURPOSE:To lower the noise and the manufacturing cost by employing a planetary roller type rolling speed change mechanism as the first reduction gear of a power turbine and to reduce the size of turbine by increasing the speed of the turbine. CONSTITUTION:The output from a power turbine 27 is applied through a reduction mechanism 30 and a torsional isolator 31 onto a crankshaft 36. The reduction mechanism 30 couples an input shaft 41 with a shaft 28 of the power turbine 27 where a sun roller 43 rotatable integrally with the input shaft is provided on the input shaft 41. A ring wheel 44 is secured at an concentric position with the sun roller 43, and a planetary roller 45 which rotates around a core shaft 46 while contacting therewith between the sun roller 43 and the ring wheel 44 is provided. Then, an output shaft 47 is coupled to the core shaft 46 of the planetary roller 45. Consequently, the noise of the reduction mechanism is reduced and the manufacturing cost is reduced, while the size of the turbine is reduced because the speed of the turbine is increased. |
