PURPOSE:To improve the sealing property of a blade end by supporting a non- turn element of a scroll type compressor movably in the direction of thrust to impart high pressure on the back of the non-turn element. CONSTITUTION:A post-like portion 24 of a non-turn element 21 is supported by a hole 28 in a holder 27 slidably in the direction of thrust. Since the upper end face of the post-like portion 24 faces a high pressure space 50 in an enclosing case 11, a thrust force directed toward a turn element 22 acts on the non- turn element 21 through the post-like portion 24. As a result, a gap between the turn element 22 and the scroll blade end of the non-turn element 21 is reduced to reduce the leakage of compressed gas so that the compression efficiency of a scroll type compressor is improved.
