PURPOSE:The titled composition, consisting of a specific acrylic copolymer containing a butanediol mono(meth)acrylate component and a curing agent, having improved weather resistance and beautiful decorative property for automobiles and capable of providing films having improved nonsanding adhesive property. CONSTITUTION:A coating composition, consisting essentially of (A) an acrylic copolymer consisting of a monomer mixture consisting of (i) 1-50wt% 1,4- butanediol mono(meth)acrylate, (ii) 0.2-10wt% alpha,beta-monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid and (iii) 40-98.9wt% another copolymerizable monomer [the total amount of hydroxyl group-containing monomers in the components (i) and (iii) is <=50wt%] and (B) 0-40pts.wt. curing agent based on 100pts.wt. component (A) and having nonsanding adhesive property.
