<p>PURPOSE:To smoothly stop and start a vehicle, by driving an electric motor to be controlled on the basis of an output signal from a position detecting means, when a switching means is turned on, so that a steering system is reset to the neutral position in an optional speed in no relation to a level of load on a road surface. CONSTITUTION:A neutral position detecting means 16 of a steering system is constituted of a potentiometer 7, low-pass filter 23 and an operational amplifier 25, and a neutral position detection signal S2 is input to a microcomputer unit 32 through an A/D converter 29. While a switching means 19 is constituted of a manual switch 20, low-pass filter 34 and a waveform shaping circuit 35, and a turn-on signal S1 of the manual switch 20 is input to the microcomputer unit 32. And an electric motor driving means 44, which is connected with an output side of the microcomputer unit 32 through a D/A converter 36, is constituted of a differential amplifier circuit 40, triangular wave generating circuit 41, comparator circuit 42 and a driving unit 43 or the like. In this way, the steering system is reset to the neutral position by driving an electric motor 9 to be controlled.</p> |
