A microwave smog detector for the purpose of detecting the origin, the person or object causing it, the frequency range and the intensity of microwave smog at the location of the measurement, printed circuit boards being provided with conductor tracks in accordance with known methods, which conductor tracks form the direction-finding antennas and bandpass filters which can be allocated to the respective frequency bands, for example between 100 MHz and several GHz, and which carry electronic components (in order to amplify the antenna signals) in the immediate vicinity of the antennas, characterised in that the above arrangement is located in a common housing with acoustic and optical signal reproduction and the antenna range changeover switch which is required to identify individual frequency bands, the broadband signal reproduction resulting in only one indication but it not being possible for transmitters which can be set to be sharp to be listened-in to (monitored) in contravention of the postal regulations. <IMAGE>
