A method of freeze drying in order to stabilize a biological or organic substance which is unstable in air comprises diluting the substance in a liquid which is ammonia, carbon dioxide, a halogenated hydrocarbon, or an aliphatic amine having a freezing point lower than 0 DEG C., cooling the diluted substance until the liquid solidifies and carrying away the solidified liquid by sublimation.ALSO:A method of freeze drying in order to stabilize a substance unstable in air comprises diluting the substance with a liquid which is ammonia, carbon dioxide, a halogenated hydrocarbon, or an aliphatic amine having a freezing point lower than 0 DEG C, cooling the diluted substance until the liquid solidifies and carrying away the solidified liquid by sublimation, e.g. a vitaminized animal oil in concentration of 1%, having glycol distearate as a charge substance to form a homogenous and pill, in 7 1/2 % solution with liquid carbon tetrachloride. |
