PURPOSE:To execute high-quality recording by preparing thermal condition data of a thermal head based on black pixels recorded in a plurality of lines in the past and controlling the transport speed of recording paper or the thermal head with the data. CONSTITUTION:Image signals of a single line are cumulatively recorded in a plurality of lines in shift registers 2A-2C in the past after undergoing a shifting process, and each black pixel is counted by counters 2A-2C. Then the count of the pixels is multiplied by factors X-Z using a multiplier 3A-3C and then the products are added together by an adder 4. This sum is output as a thermal condition data S. After this, CPU5 reads a transport data corresponding to the thermal condition data S from ROM, and thereby a pulse motor 8 is driven to control the transport of recording paper or a thermal head 10. Thus the high-quality recording paper can be obtained. |
