The drive has a transmission which has two outputs (14, 24), one output (14) being assigned to the adhesion wheel drive train (16, 22, 18, 20) and the other output (24) being assigned to the rack-and-pinion drive train (26, 34, 36, 40). In this arrangement, either the adhesion wheel drive train (16, 22, 18, 20) or the rack-and-pinion drive train (26, 34, 36, 40) is driven directly by the motor (10) whilst the respective other drive train can be connected in a slip-dependent fashion such that during operation the slip-dependent drive train is only active when the circumferential speeds of drive cog wheel and adhesion wheels deviate from one another positively or negatively by a predetermined value. <IMAGE>
