PURPOSE:To easily control the starting and stopping of the heat transport of the heat pipe by sealing a granular float having a specific gravity which is equal to that of a working liquid into the container of the heat pipe together with the working liquid, and floating and submerging the float according to variation in specific gravity accompanying the temperature variation of the working liquid. CONSTITUTION:Fron 12 is used as a working liquid 12 sealed in a container 2 made of a copper pipe. The specific gravity of the fron 12 at an operation starting and stopping branch set temperature -20 deg.C is 1.459. Further, a float 13 made of a granular synthetic resin adjusted to a specific gravity of 1.459 by a filler such as metal powders of iron, lead and the like, or inorganic powders of calcium carbonate and the like, floats on the liquid surface of the working liquid 12 and stops the heat transport of the heat pipe because the specific gravity of the working liquid 12 is greater than 1.459. Further, when the lower heat receiving part has a temperature which is more than the operation starting and stopping set temperature of -20 deg.C or more, the specific gravity of the working liquid 12 becomes less than 1.459, and hence said float 13 sinks down to the liquid bottom surface of the working liquid. Further, on the liquid surface of the working liquid 12, vaporization of the working liquid 12 is carried out, and the heat transfer as the heat pipe is started. |
