The invention relates to a paper feed device for data output printers or similar devices in which individual sheets are drawn off from a stack and fed to the printing station. To reduce the number of individual parts and to simplify assembly, it is provided that the mechanisms for adjusting the device to the paper width and for pressing the paper stack against the separation lug form one basic unit and are under the effect of a single spring.
