PURPOSE:To obtain the titled yarn useful for carpets, etc., having high elongation, improved pilling resistance and crimping properties without changing existing facilitates, by bonding two polyesters having different intrinsic viscosity into a parallel type or an eccentric sheath-core type, spinning and drawing. CONSTITUTION:(A) A polyester having >=0.40 intrinsic viscosity [eta] obtained by blending 100pts.wt. polyester consisting essentially of polyethylene terephthalate with 0.02-12pts.wt. polyol shown by formula (R1 and R3 are alkyl or phenyl; R2 is alkylene or phenylene; n is >=1 integer) and 0.04-12pts.wt. glycol and (B) a polyester having intrinsic viscosity [eta] which is 0.005-0.10 larger than that of the component A and is <=0.50, comprising 100pts.wt. polyester consisting essentially of polyethylene terephthalate and the polyol shown by the formula and the glycol in total amounts to give >=0.04pts.wt. smaller than those of the component A are bonded into a parallel type or an eccentric sheath-core type and spun to give the aimed conjugated yarn having 60-120% elongation.
