PURPOSE:To keep the span between shafts at a proper distance by performing transmission of drive force from a driving shaft to a follower shaft with an idling member furnished on a rotary member, and absorbing load variation by said idling member. CONSTITUTION:The drive force from a driving shaft 7 is transmitted to a sleeve shaft 3 through component members constituting a transmission device. Here an intermediate shaft 16, No.2 idling gear 18 and No.1 idling gear 17 to perform transmission for a follower gear 5 and a driving gear 10 are installed on a rotary lever 13, so that the lever 13 serves as a buffer. Eventual load variation on the driving shaft 7 side generated by tension change etc. in a timing belt 12 can be absorbed through displacement of said rotary lever 13. Accordingly these is no need to shift the sleeve shaft 3, and variation of the span is prevented.
