PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin requiring no aging process in the production of synthetic leather, enabling release base material to be immediately separated by simple short-time heating, by reaction between a specific polyurethane resin containing terminated OH group and an acidic matter capable of decomposition and evaporation at a specified temperature or lower. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin can be obtained by reaction between (A) a OH group-terminated polyurethane resin prepared from (i) a tertiary amino group-contg. diol (e.g. monomethyl diethanolamine) and (ii) an organic diisocyanate (e.g. 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate) and (B) an acidic substance capable of decomposition and evaporation at <=140 deg.C (e.g. formic acid, acetic acid, benzoic acid).
