The invention relates to a mount for a windscreen on a motor vehicle, in which the windscreen is held on a flange of a windscreen opening on the vehicle body by means of a windscreen frame and an adhesive bond. According to the invention, the windscreen frame (6, 7) is in two parts, a first, inner frame (6) being connected via an adhesive layer (9) to the flange (3). A second, outer frame (7) is connected to the inner frame (6) by a screwed, sliding or tilting connection and the windscreen (5) is held between bearing surfaces of the inner and outer frames (6, 7). When replacing the windscreen (5), the bonded, inner frame (6) remains on the vehicle and only the outer covering frame (7) is removed by releasing the connection between the frames (6, 7).
