PURPOSE:To obtain good orientating property while keeping rigidity by a method wherein specified polypropylene is blended with the small amount of specified hydrocarbon polymer. CONSTITUTION:A compound, consisting of 100pts.wt. of polypropylene homopolymer having 0.960 or more of the percentage of isotactic pentad index, in which the stereoregularity of the insoluble matter of boiling heptane is obtained by <13>C-NMR blended with 0.01-2pts.wt. hydrocarbon polymer having at least one piece of hydroxide and the main chain thereof is saturated or partially saturated, is formed into a film or a sheet, which is oriented in longitudinal and lateral directions under the temperature of 150-200 deg.C by the magnificating power of 2-10. The hydrocarbon polymer having at least one piece of hydroxide group at the terminal and the number of average hydroxide group of 1.5-8.0 per one mol of liquid, semi-solid or solid polymer at a normal temperature while having the molecular weight of 500-200,000 with saturated main chain is preferable. |
