PURPOSE:To obtain a conversion circuit with the ease of large scale integration and simple constitution without using any ROM by using an inverter and an adder circuit to convert binary information. CONSTITUTION:In applying error correction by the reed Solomon code, the binary information having a length of (n-1) of a code word having a length (n) is inverted by an inverter 1. The result of inversion and error location binary information are added by an adder 2, and further, inverted by an inverter 3 and converted into address information of a memory storing the code word from the error location information. The use of a ROM or the like rewriting the content at each change of code word length is not required by means of the said conversion system, and the binary address information conversion circuit with simple constitution and ease of large scale integration is obtained.
