The drive circuit has a pair of hall elements detecting the rotor position from the magnetic field provided by the rotor permanent magnets. The hall elements deliver four output signals with a relative phase offset of fieled to the bases of four respective transitors which form a differential circuit. Each of the two stator windings is connected at one side via a pair of power switches to a positive and negative voltage source respectively, the other side of each winding being connected to earth.
