PURPOSE:To prevent the electromagnetic coupling between input and output terminals by constituting an external extracting lead from an electrode pad of a surface acoustic wave element by a shield cable and grounding the shield. CONSTITUTION:A surface acoustic wave element 3 whose pattern is formed interdigitally is provided on a piezoelectric substrate 2 mounted in a metallic case 1. An electrode and pad 4 is formed to a prescribed position of the element 3 and a shield cable 5 constituting an external extracting lead is connected respectively thereto. A core 5a of the cable 5 is connected to a header of ana input/output load terminal of the metallic case 1 and a shield 5b of the cable 5 is grounded from a case base face of the case 1. Thus, the propagation of the dielectric wave between the input and output lead terminals 1a is prevented and the electromagnetic coupling as shown in a conventional device is prevented.
