PURPOSE:To improve the production efficiency by providing the V grooving device reciprocable in the longitudinal direction of the upper die at the rear part of the ram of a press brake and by arranging the mobile upper die for bending and the clamp for plate pressing at the lower end of the ram. CONSTITUTION:A supporting bracket 9 is provided at the rear part of the ram 1 of a press brake and a V grooving device 10 is arranged via a gib 19. The device 10 is composed of a cutting tool 16, screw lever 12 for driving, slide 14, etc. First, a work sheet 30 is et by abutting to a gage 6 and pressed by a clamp 7 and work receiver 5, then, the main body 11 is moved by turning the screw lever 12 to work the V groove. The V groove line is positioned by advancing the gate 6 simultaneously with the ascent of a ram 1 and the release of the clamp 7, and the V bending is performed with the re-descent of the ram 1. Due to the V grooving being performed by the same machine the production efficiency can be improved.
