Respiration therapy apparatus includes a valve (22) for generating pulses of inhalation gas for delivery to a patient. A chamber (52) permits inhalation gas pulses to be generated by entraining humidified low pressure gas with the pulses of high pressure entrainment gas. Control means (12) are provided so that the pulses of entrainment gas may be of variable frequency, duration and duty cycle by modulating the flow of a highly pressured gas with a solenoid operating the valve (22).
