PURPOSE:To provide a thermal transfer recording sheet lowered in the tendency to curl after formation of images, retaining favorable smoothness even after formation of an image with a photographic tone or the like and showing a favorable finish, by providing a base obtained by adhering a synthetic paper to at least one side of a core material, and providing a receiving layer on the synthetic paper side of the base, either directly or through an intermediate layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer recording sheet 1 comprises a receiving layer 5 provided directly on a base 4, which comprising a core material 3 for preventing curling adhered to a synthetic paper 2. The paper 2 is preferably a synthetic paper provided with a paper form layer comprising minute pores. When image are formed by thermal transfer on the recording sheet comprising such a synthetic paper, image density is high, and uniformity of images is secured. The core material 3 may be a cellulose fiber paper or a plastic film. |
