PURPOSE:To obtain the picture of natural hue by automatically switching it a prescribed light source and a white balance when a photographing is carried out during the alarm of the unadjusted white balance being outputted. CONSTITUTION:When the photographing is carried out during the adjustment of the white balance, the gains of amplifiers 22, 24 are controlled by setting control voltages CVR, CVB from volumes 46, 48 through change-over switches 42, 44. Then, the difference between the output of the amplifiers 22, 24 and a luminance signal Y is taken,and applied to an encoder 26 and a white balance adjusting circuit 28 as color difference signals R-Y, B-Y. The circuit 28 forms an error voltage by comparing with a reference voltage, the control voltages CVR, CVB are supplied to the amplifiers 22, 24 so as to eliminate the error voltage and a alarm signal AR(1) is outputted while the error voltage is outputted. By this signal AR(1), the error voltage is automatically switched to the prescribed light source and the white balance through AND gates 40, 50 and the switches 42, 44 or the like to obtain the picture of the natural hue.
