PURPOSE:To facilitate the superposition of the AC signal onto an output current by providing another winding to a current detector and impressing an AC signal source to said winding in a control circuit of a constant current converter. CONSTITUTION:A current detector 3 contains the third winding N2 in addition to windings N1 and Nd. An AC signal source 6 is impressed to the winding N2. That is, the source 6 is connected to the winding N2 of the detector 3 and the AC signal current I2 is supplied to the winding N2 from the source 6 to secure superposition between the AC signal and the output current I0. In this case, the current I0 is equal to i0-(N2/N1).I2 by the current I2 flowing to the winding N2 if the source 6 is impressed when the current I0 is equal to i0. Thus the superposition of the AC signal is secured. In such a way, the AC signal can be superposed on the output current.
