PURPOSE:To readily synthesize the titled substance from a readily available raw material under mild condition, by reacting a fluorine-containing halogenated alkene with CO2 in an organic solvent in the presence of zinc while irradiating with ultrasonic waves and hydrolyzing the resultant product. CONSTITUTION:A compound expressed by formula I (Rf is fluorine-containing alkyl; R is alkyl, fluorine-containing alkyl or aryl; X is halogen) is reacted with CO2 in an organic solvent, e.g. DMF, in the presence of zinc at 0-150 deg.C for 1min-10hr while irradiating ultrasonic waves and the reaction product is then hydrolyzed to afford the aimed compound expressed by formula II. The zinc to be used is a powdery form having 1-50mum average particle diameter in an amount of 2-5 equivalents based on the raw material fluorine- containing halogenated alkene. The CO2 in a gaseous state is aerated or dry ice in a solid state is added at a rate so that the reaction system may not be cooled below 0 deg.C. Used as an intermediate for fluorine-containing compounds and raw material for polymers. |
