PURPOSE:To attain the optional change of the array of keys by incorporating a graphic display element to the key top part for control of the display contents. CONSTITUTION:A key switch consists of a switch part 101 and a key top part 102 and the light emitting diodes LED are provided in a matrix form on the surface of the part 102. These LED361-363 are driven by driver circuits 351-354 respectively. At the same time, the LED371-373 and 391-393 are also driven in the same way. While all LED are turned on an off based on the data stored in the latch memory circuits 311-345. Thus the display contents of the part 102 can be optionally changed and therefore the array of keys can also be changed optionally.
